Christmas Candy Caddy

Hello all. While staying home today I decided that I should try and work on something.  I saw a cute video on this caddy that was for back to school and decided to alter it for Christmas candy.  I went and purchased several bags of Hershey kisses a few days ago and needed something to put them.

I used the believe paper pack from Close to my Heart (CTMH).  I love this paper pack.  I cut some snowmen the other day using my Cricut Imagine and I used those along with Santa both from the Doodlecharms Cartridge.   Santa's hat is accented with red glitter to give him a little pizazz.  The top is tied with some white and red ribbon in a collection of ribbon I purchased at Michael's earlier this Christmas Season.

I hope you like what you see.  If you have any questions about this item or any additional items on my blog please let me know.  I hope you have a wonderful evening.

Christmas Card/Bookmark

Hello again.  I hope that all is well in your world and that you are enjoying the cooler weather in your area.  It has been extremely cooler here in Texas the last few days.  I enjoy the cooler weather and I hope that you do as well.

I just wanted to share a couple of things with you.  I recently participate in a blog hop and made an adorable box (which is below) and wanted to make a second one and put some goodies in it to give away.  I made a couple of cards and a bookmark.

The first card I used The Jingle Paper Pack from Close to my Heart (CTMH) and the stamp set from the Workshop on the Go (WOTG) from the Jingle set.  The card design was a design from the CTMH Original Idea Book.  The sentiment on the inside says "The Magic of Christmas never ends...its greatest gifts are family and friends"  This sentiment is from the CTMH stamp set Card Chatter Christmas.

The second card that I made I used my new Cricut Imagine and got to play with an old cartridge that I love.  I used the Doodlecharms cartridge and cut out the adorable snowman and layered him for some color.  I added some "bling" for his buttons.  For this card I used the CTMH paper pack Mistletoe, a brown card base and the sentiment on the inside reads "At Christmas, play and make good cheer...for Christmas comes but once a year"  This sentiment is from the CTMH stamp set Card Chatter-Christmas.

The last item that I made to fill my adorable box was a bookmark.  I am an avid reader and love to have bookmarks handy.  For the bookmark I used the CTMH paper pack Emporium and some cute stickers I found with the holiday items at Hobby Lobby.  All the ink I used on these projects were from CTMH.  I love CTMH if you can not tell.

I hope you enjoyed looking at some of the items that I have created recently.  Enjoying browsing through the blog and let me know if there is anything you have questions on.  Much love to each of you.

Christmas Kid Gift Blog Hop

Hello all.  Hope this nice chilly weather is finding everyone in good spirits.  Just wanted to share with you a quick project that I created for my daughter to give her best friend for Christmas.  It is a cute 7 1/2" box that she will fill with her favorite things and give them to her as a cute gift.

Most of the items used in the making of this project are from Close to my Heart.  I love their paper & embellishments.

I covered the box with paper from the Jingle paper pack.  I then took a Martha Stewart punch & trimmed out a cute border for the top of the box & placed the Merry Christmas ribbon around the entire lid.

I decorated the top of the box with Close to my Heart my Stickease from Believe (I love the little elves) & used the Card Chatter-Christmas Stamp Set for the sentiment which reads "The Magic of Christmas never ends..... it's greatest gift are family and friends."  I added a couple of extra snowflakes to make the sentiment pop a little.

I hope that you like it & I will be posting some more ideas from Christmas really soon.  Be sure to check out the other blogs in the hop.  They are listed below.

Love you guys and have a great night.

Scrappin Weekend

Hello all.  I had a fablous weekend scrapbooking with some friends in Robinson.  I was able to complete some projects but more than that I was able to spend some time with friends & family doing some of my favorite things.  I will show you a few of the wonderful things that I completed while I was there.

Once I got home on Sunday I found out Tuesday that I would be going in for a procedure on Thursday to help with all the discomfort.  I am off for the next several weeks so I will be using the time to make some wonderful projects & get caught up on some scrappin.  Pics to come as I complete a few of them.

This coming weekend myself & my best scrappin buddy Windy will be attending another retreat in the Georgetown area with her mom and another friend of ours.  I am excited about the upcoming retreat.

Hope that all of you are doing well coming into the holiday season.  I am excited to spend some time with friends and family.  Even more excited about all the good food that I get to eat around the holidays.  I have to say this is my favorite time of year.

Happy November Everyone!!!

I created this card for the Christmas Card & tag swap that I am participating in.  For the card & tag I used CTMH (Close to my Heart) Jingle Paper & Celebration Stamp Set.  I choose the card design from CTMH card book Originals.

This is an additinal fall card I made the same weekend.  I used the CTMH Art Philophsy Cricut Cartridge along with CTMH paper pack Olivia.  The stamped image is one of the stamps sets that comes with the Cricut Cartridge.  The numbers pull out & have reasons I am thankful for their friendship.

Goal for this upcoming weekend will be to finish my Thanksgiving Pal Swap & to finish up some baby shower invitations.  I need to get my Christmas cards started & of course just have some relaxing time with good friends.

Hope you all are having a wonderful week.  I would love to share any of these projects with you for more details please leave a comment or email.  Much love to each of you.

Halloween Altered Item Swap

Hello again.  Sorry it has been over a month since I posted anything.  Just need to get better at this blog thing.

Wanted to share something that I made last week for my Halloween Pal.  I participated in a swap with some wonderful friends.   I used the new Mischief Paper Pack from Close To My Heart (CTMH) which I love & took some ghosts & black cats along with the Fright Night (CTMH stamp set) & created a cute little frame.  Purchased the frame at a local shop, painted it orange, covered it with the paper & then placed the embellishments to give it a little character.  (Pictures can be seen below).  Hope you like it.  Would love to show you how to make some "altered things", cards or scarpbook pages for you to showcase your memories & loved ones.

Heading out this weekend for a wonderful scrap time with my best scrappin' pal Windy & my Aunt Betty.  Have a few projects to work on while I am there (baby shower invites & Christmas card/tag swap).  Goal will be to get some great pages done as well.  Cant wait to see all the other ladies & get the creative juices flowing.   Excited to get to have some down time with some of my favorite people doing one of my favorite things.

1st Homecoming Garter

Tonight I started the home stretch into Homecoming.  I am making mums for our daughters and a few of there friends for homecoming next weekend.  I have found that mums are like scrapbooking just instead of paper your creativity goes on flowers and ribbons.  They are alot of fun to work on but can be very time consuming.  My mom is going to be coming to town to make a few more with me this weekend so I will post some of the final projects when we are done being creative.

I hear mums are not that big outside of Texas.  Tell me if you were raised outside of Texas and if you had a mum at homecoming.  Just wondering if this is one of those things that are "Better in Texas"

Thank you for catching up with me and I hope you have a wonderful weekend.  Love ya.

New Blogger

Hello all.  As the title here shows I am new to the blogging world.  I am not sure how this will all work out but I am hoping that I can get the hang of this blog thing pretty quick.  I made this blog because I am always being asked to share the things that I am working on.  Projects from scrapbooking to card making.  I love to make invitations and will soon be making homecoming  mums for my beautiful girls.

I am a wife to Jeff & a mother to seven beautiful children.  Shelby, Katie, Linday, Codie, Hunter, Bryhanna and Jordan.  They are often the subjects of my many projects and my need for "therapy".  Paper crafting (as you will soon realize) is my therapy.  It is a great way for me to be able to relax & have a blast doing it.  I love to take pictures (especially of my kidos) & I needed to find a creative way to put a story together that would coordinate with the photos.  Well, this is how I am going to share those things with you.

You will see pictures on here with layouts, invitations, cards (all occasion) & any additional projects that are in the works.  I participate in several swaps a month & try to have regular "therapy" sessions.  I am very far behind in my scrapbooking (which most honest scrapbookers are).  So you will see a variety of activities from different time frames of our lives.

I hope you enjoy what you see here and if you are interested in learning how to make some of the items or if you have ideas that you would like to share I would love to hear from you.  Sit back and enjoy the ride and I hope you have a scrapping good day.
